Where'd I go?

Typical blog attempt, right? Two months + two posts in and I let this thing die a proper, uninspired death. After my January/February post and as luck would have it, an opportunity rolled in at work where I could change creative roles. If you recall, I wanted to start this blog as an opportunity to have some creative freedom and escape the stale design state I had been in for so long. I gave myself a month to dedicated every minute of free time I had to producing new designs and refining specific pieces I had done over the years to present to my Creative Director and argue my case for the switch.

I'm happy to announce that it paid off and by March/April I switched over from Creative Production to Visual Development, where I've since been engaged in a more traditional design role and am now surrounded by, and intimidated by, lots of creative talent. To a degree I am easily intimidated, but honestly this is exactly what I need to get me in the good design habit I once had and will no doubt allow me to grow and improve over time.

That all said, I still have a laundry list of things and concepts I'd like to mock up, so while I may not be able to get something done per month, I hope to not let this crumble into forgotten internet history. To say things are on the busy side is an understatement, but the future promises a more stable workflow which should allow me to get back to some personal stuff on the side.
